When your product changes hands, screenshots need a date

The Only Billboard has one live virtual advertising frame. That makes a screenshot unusually easy to misunderstand: it can show a genuine earlier state while giving a new visitor the wrong idea about who holds the board now.

As checked on October 24, 2026, IOCUS occupies the frame after the fourth paid takeover at $4. The next approved paid takeover costs $5. RELVE ($1), Brick500 ($2) and Drummond Hearing ($3) are earlier chapters in the public History. These are successive placements, not four simultaneous slots.

A preview is a snapshot, not a live feed

A directory image does not automatically update just because our homepage changes. We checked old previews against the actual site and found images from earlier placements, including an early test mockup. Some existing records could be edited directly; other operators needed to refresh their captures. We separate a request being sent, a change being reviewed and an image actually appearing in public. They are different outcomes.

The useful distinction is not old versus bad. Earlier creatives are part of the experiment. They belong in a clearly dated story or in History. The confusion starts when an undated preview is presented as the current offer.

Three questions for a visitor

First, what is on the live board now? Start with the actual homepage rather than a cached image elsewhere.

Second, what is the next takeover price? The currently displayed paid amount records the existing placement. The next price is the offer for the following approved paid takeover. Neither number is a daily rental rate.

Third, what can the record prove? History shows the sequence of earlier advertisers and their paid prices. It does not establish clicks, sales, advertiser returns or a predictable time on the live board.

A small product, a visible handoff

The idea behind our site is simple: one advertiser takes over the one live frame, the replaced creative moves into permanent History, and the next price rises by $1. There is no fixed minimum live period. A later approved paid takeover can replace the current ad. Browsing the site and its record does not require buying a placement.

For us, keeping that explanation consistent matters as much as sharing another attractive mockup. A screenshot should introduce the experience without quietly turning an earlier advertiser into the current one.

We are the team behind The Only Billboard. This is a first-hand operating note, not a new buyer announcement or a claim of measured advertising performance. No minimum display duration, traffic, clicks or sales are guaranteed. Placement on the site is not an endorsement of an advertised project.
